Dr Martens optimises its order preparation process on its online channel

Dr Martens, the famous footwear brand, has optimised its classification process for orders received online, thanks to Pick To Light Systems’ technology.

Dr Martens, the well-known British brand, which has been operating on the market for years, also sells its famous footwear over the internet, for all its customers and for fans of the classic “Martens Boots”.


Given the increasing importance of online sales, the Dr Martens brand has used the devices developed by Pick To Light Systems to optimise its order picking process, in the online orders classification centre that it operates Wollaston, Northamptonshire.


In this project, Dr Martens’ team developed a system based on the Put To Light functionality, in which, once the item that requires preparation has been identified, the displays will visually guide the operator to the containers in which the items that comprise each order are to be placed (PUT).


Dr Martens’ order preparation centre now has Put To Light devices designed by Pick to Light Systems, which guarantee a fast and error-free classification process to satisfy the demands of all the company’s customers.
