Cell production with pick-to-light optimizes the assembly process of subassemblies.
In "Cell Production" each operator works in a workstation or work cell. The Pick to Light devices linked to each component indicate to the operator the exact parts to pick up and assemble at every step. Side-by-side a screen can show the operator the sequential assembly tasks.
As it is a guided work system, it enables assembly process errors to be eliminated, increased productivity and the operator's learning curve to be significantly reduced.
Finished sub-assemblies are loaded onto racks or carts and delivered to the line-side to be incorporated in the end product.
